ISO to FCP X- How to Transfer ISO Files to Final Cut Pro X

What’s the best tool to transfer ISO file into FCPX? I have the ISO file on my system. It’s the file I burn to disk. Just need to convert so I can get some clips off of it ASAP. Some guys recommend Handbrake, but no go. Says “No Valid Source Found” in Handbrake. Any alternative way to get ISO files to Final Cut Pro X for editing easily?

Well, to import ISO/DVD into Final Cut Pro X for smooth editing, you need to convert ISO to Final Cut Pro editing-friendly Apple ProRes codec for further editing. Handbrake is not a smart choice in this case while DumboFab DVD Converter for Mac is highly recommended here.

With it, you can easily transcode DVD, Video_TS folder, ISO files to ProRes 422, ProRes 422 HQ or 4444 for using in Final Cut Pro X or FCP 7 flawlessly. Step 1. Load DVD ISO files

Install and launch DumboFab DVD Ripper for Mac. Click Load Disc button to upload the source ISO image files.

Step 2. Select output file

Click the Profile bar at the bottom to select a target format that Final Cut Pro supports. To make your editing process simpler and less resource-intensive, you’re recommended to select ProRes from Editing Software category. If you want to preserve image quality with the smallest file size, then MOV (codec: h.264+aac) from Common Video category is recommended.

Step 3. Start ISO to FCP conversion

Click the small Folder icon in the output bar to select a destination folder to store the ripped ISO files and then hit the big Convert button to start converting ISO to Final Cut Pro edit-friendly ProRes or H.264 MOV file. You can see the remaining time from the video list bar and cancel/stop/resume converting process as you like.
